Sabrina Corbo (Green Network) is made Knight of the Order of the Star of Italy

Sabrina Corbo has received from ambassador Terracciano the knighthood of the Order of the Star of Italy, bestowed on her by the president of the Italian Republic.

The entrepreneur Sabrina Corbo was yesterday made a Knight of the Order of the Star of Italy (Cavaliere OSI). The decoration was presented by the Italian ambassador, Pasquale Terracciano, on behalf of the Italian president.

Corbo began her career working in a number of different law firms. In 2003 she and her husband, Piero Saulli, founded Green Network, a group specialising in electricity generation and distribution with a strong focus on sustainability. By the end of its first ten years of activity the Green Network group had achieved strong market positioning, with half a million clients and an annual turnover of over €2bn, having entered the British market in 2012 under Corbo’s leadership.

Corbo has also shown exceptional support for initiatives promoting Italy’s cultural and economic presence in the UK, through close collaboration with actors of the Sistema Italia (the Italian national economic system). Of particular note was her direct participation in fundraising initiatives for reconstruction efforts following the recent earthquakes in central Italy.

Furthermore, Green Network co-sponsored the publication of a recent book on the history of the Embassy of Italy in London and its collection of artworks, making the home of all Italians in the UK even more open and familiar to individuals and businesses.
