Italians who were resident in the UK by 31 December 2020 are reminded that they have until 30 June 2021 to apply to the EU Settlement Scheme. The EU has made available the following support services for EU citizens in the UK:
– Free one-to-one consultations with lawyers specialising in immigration, particularly to help vulnerable citizens, such as older people and children, with their applications for settled or pre-settled status;
– Awareness campaigns highlighting the need to apply for settled/pre-settled status for minor children of EU citizens, organised by the Home Office together with the University of Liverpool, the School of Law and Social Justice, and the European Children’s Rights Unit.
