Ugo Da Como Foundation residencies for translators of Italian books

The Ugo Da Como Foundation, in partnership with the Centro per il libro e la lettura (Cepell) is offering residencies for six translators – two English, two French and two German mother tongue. The residencies will be one month long and will take place in July 2023 at the Foundation in Lonato del Garda (Brescia). Board and lodging will be provided.

The residency will include a series of meetings with writers, journalists, lecturers, translators, editors and publishers, as well as a specific initiative in collaboration with the Goffredo Foundation, Maria Bellonci and the Strega Prize.

Applicants must already have a contract with a publisher for the translation of an Italian non-fiction work.
