Ambassador Inigo Lambertini speaks with Maestro Speranza Scappucci, internationally renowned conductor and the first woman to lead an opera at Milan’s Teatro alla Scala. Since last September, she has also served as Principal Guest Conductor at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, for the current season.
The conversation explores diplomacy, music, and soft power, delving into how Italy is presented and perceived in the United Kingdom, and the role of culture as a tool for international relations.
