These scientific attach\u00e9s work to strengthen scientific and technological cooperation between countries, overseeing initiatives to support the work of universities, researchers and businesses. In addition to raising the profile of the Italian research system in the country in which they work and in international accreditation organisations, the attach\u00e9s also act as a point of reference for both inter-institutional dialogue and the local Italian scientific community.<\/p>\n<p>To learn more about the role and location of scientific attach\u00e9s in Italian embassies, click <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.esteri.it\/en\/diplomazia-culturale-e-diplomazia-scientifica\/cooperscientificatecnologica\/reteaddettiscientificitecnologici\/\">here<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>THE SCIENTIFIC OFFICE IN LONDON<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Office promotes Italian research in the United Kingdom in collaboration with other institutional actors such as the <strong><a title=\"http:\/\/www.icilondon.esteri.it\/iic_londra\/en\/\" href=\"https:\/\/iiclondra.esteri.it\/en\/\">Italian Cultural Institute<\/a><\/strong>, the\u00a0<strong><a title=\"https:\/\/www.ice.it\/en\/\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ice.it\/en\/\">Italian Trade Agency<\/a><\/strong> and representatives of enterprises, institutions, Italian organisations and associations of Italian nationals in the UK with academic or research interests.<\/p>\n<p>The Embassy&#8217;s Scientific Office maintains relations with the Italian scientific community in the UK.<\/p>\n<p>Are you an Italian academic or researcher in the UK? Sign up to the\u00a0<strong><a title=\"http:\/\/ambitaliascienza.london\/en\/home-2\" href=\"http:\/\/ambitaliascienza.london\/en\/home-2\">Database of the Scientific Office<\/a>.<br \/>\n<\/strong><br \/>\nThe Office also collaborates with the <strong><a title=\"AISUK website\" href=\"https:\/\/www.aisuk.org\/\">Association of the Italian Scientists in the UK<\/a> (AISUK)<\/strong>, an association that promotes interaction among Italian scientists working in the UK.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><br \/>\nTHE SCIENTIFIC COUNCIL OF THE EMBASSY<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Scientific Attach\u00e9, in collaboration with the Head of Mission, appoints the Scientific Council of the Embassy (CSA), made up of 18 Italian researchers who work in the British scientific and technological world.
