This is the fifth leg of the 2018 training tour, during which cadets from the Italian Navy\u2019s Livorno Academy learn nautical skills while at sea. Their tour this year also takes place in the Atlantic Ocean and Northern Europe.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ambassador <strong>Raffaele Trombetta<\/strong> will visit the vessel this morning, meeting the squadron&#8217;s commander-in-chief, Admiral <strong>Donato Marzano<\/strong>, and the ship&#8217;s commander, Sea Captain <strong>Roberto Recchia<\/strong>, as well as the crew and cadets.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The arrival of the Vespucci in the UK highlights the valuable role played by our seawomen and seamen and is of particular significance at a time when Genoa, a city that is emblematic of Italy&#8217;s close relationship with the sea, has so recently been struck by tragedy.\u00a0The ship&#8217;s arrival is also an exciting opportunity for locals to visit it.
