Italian Design Day is also supported by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism, the Italian Trade Agency, the Milan Triennale Foundation, the ADI-Compasso d\u2019Oro Foundation, the Milan Furniture Fair and the Altagamma Foundation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The ambassador, <strong>Raffaele Trombetta<\/strong>, opened the event by thanking Mr Iosa Ghini and by acknowledging the significant role he has played in raising awareness of the importance of sustainability in design. He highlighted the importance of seeking design approaches that offer solutions to the social and environmental problems caused by the deterioration of ecosystems.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In his presentation, Mr Iosa Ghini discussed the <strong>humanistic angle<\/strong> of his work, an approach that is <strong>typical of Italian design tradition<\/strong>, and explained how it focuses not only on achieving high technical standards but also on taking cultural factors into consideration, combining energy-saving techniques and seamless integration into the existing environment with aesthetics, character and style.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The renowned architect Massimo Iosa Ghini spoke this evening about \u201cThe Beauty of Sustainability\u201d at the Italian Cultural Institute in London.
