Boldrini\u2019s two-day visit<\/p>\n<p><\/strong>Speaker of the Italian Chamber of Deputies <strong>Laura Boldrini<\/strong> met with the Leader of the Commons<strong>\u00a0Chris Grayling\u00a0<\/strong>and the Speakers, respectively of the House of Lords and the House of Commons, Baroness <strong>Frances D\u2019Souza<\/strong> and <strong>John Bercow<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Following the meetings at the Parliament, Hon. Boldrini met with <strong>Jeremy Corbyn<\/strong>, Leader of the Opposition.<\/p>\n<p>The first day of Hon. Boldrini\u2019s visit came to a close with her keynote speech for the <em>Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence annual lecture<\/em> at <strong>King\u2019s College<\/strong> on \u201c<strong>Greater European integration: the only way forward<\/strong>\u201d. Hon. Boldrini focused on migration issues and called for a greater upholding of the fundamental European values, namely, respect for human rights and dignity, in front of an audience which included students, academics, diplomats, think tank researchers and British\u00a0institutional representatives.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">During the second day of her visit, the Speaker of the Italian Chamber of Deputies gave an interview centred on the theme of migration\u00a0to <strong>BBC World News GMT<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Hon.
