<\/strong><\/p>\nOFFICE OF THE DEFENCE ATTACH\u00c9<\/strong><\/p>\n 7\/10 Hobart Place, Eaton Square, London SW1W 0HH<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n PUBLIC NOTICE <\/strong><\/p>\n FOR THE OFFER OF SPONSORSHIP<\/p>\n OF ACTIVITIES OF INTERNATIONAL PROMOTION<\/p>\n FOR INSTITUTIONAL PURPOSES IN 2023<\/p>\n BY THE OFFICE OF THE DEFENCE ATTACH\u00c9<\/p>\n AT THE EMBASSY OF ITALY IN THE UNITED KINGDOM<\/p>\n <\/p>\n THE OFFICE OF THE DEFENCE ATTACH\u00c9 OFFERS <\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n The opportunity to enter into sponsorship contracts with the Office of the Defence Attach\u00e9 with the aim of supporting the organization of activities for international promotion for institutional purposes in 2023.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n 1. GOAL <\/strong><\/p>\n 1.1\u00a0 On the occasion of activities of international promotion for institutional purposes organized for the year 2023 to be held in London, U.K., the Office of the Defence Attach\u00e9 at the Embassy of Italy in London plans on organizing multiple events throughout the year, \u00a0including – for the purposes of this notice – the following (exact dates to be confirmed):<\/p>\n 1.2 In view of the celebrations of the events for the year 2023, indicated in point 1.1 above, the Office of the Defence Attach\u00e9 provides sponsors with the opportunity to promote their brand, image and activities in the context of the communication and outreach activities planned for the above events, under the terms established through a specific sponsorship contract<\/p>\n 2. GENERAL SPONSOR REQUIREMENT<\/strong><\/p>\n Public and private subjects are eligible to submit sponsorship offers, subject the absence of conditions prejudicing or limiting their contractual capacity (Art. 94 et seq. of Legislative Decree No. 36\/2023).<\/p>\n 3. SUBMISSION OF SPONSORSHIP OFFERS<\/strong><\/p>\n 3.1\u00a0 Sponsorship offers should comply with the following, and:<\/p>\n a) must be submitted in written form, signed by the company’s legal representative (filling in the application documents at the links at the bottom of this page), along with the copy of a valid ID, and sent to the Office of the Defence Attach\u00e9 via email (as far in advance of the events as possible). Documentation should be sent to assistantdat@smd.difesa.it<\/a>, with london.assistantdat02@smd.difesa.it<\/a> in copy,with PDF attachments not exceeding 2,5 MB;<\/p>\n b) must indicate the amount intended to be offered as sponsorship;<\/p>\n c) must be accompanied by a declaration confirming that there are no adverse or restrictive conditions to the sponsor’s contractual capability ( 94 et seq. of Legislative Decree No. 36\/2023);.<\/p>\n d) must contain, under penalty of exclusion, the following elements:<\/p>\n e) must contain the sponsor’s commitment to take upon all and any responsibilities and obligations related to the display of its own brand;<\/p>\n f) must also be accompanied by a self-certification\/declaration in place of a notary deed (“Required Documents”) and by the acknowledgment and acceptance of the document “lnformation on the Protection of Persons with Regard to the Processing of Personal Data Pursuant to EU Regulation 2016\/679, article 13”, as per the attached required forms;<\/p>\n g) applicants must consent to the processing of their data, as well as personal data, in accordance with Italian Legislative Decree n. 196\/2003 and the General Data Protection Regulation \/ GDPR (EU) 2016\/679, for all procedural requirements;<\/p>\n h) conditional or incomplete offers (e.g. offers without signature) will be excluded.<\/p>\n 4. SPONSORSHIP EVALUATION<\/strong><\/p>\n 4.1 Sponsorship bids, submitted by the deadline set in paragraph 3.1.a of this Notice, are evaluated by the Office of the Defence Attach\u00e9 in accordance with the principles of efficiency, effectiveness, impartiality, equanimity, transparency, proportionality.<\/p>\n 4.2 In consideration of the special nature of the promotional program subject of this Notice, the Office of the Defence Attach\u00e9 can accept more than one sponsorship.<\/p>\n 5. PROVISION OF ADVERTISING MATERIAL<\/strong><\/p>\n Public and private subjects whose sponsorship bids have been accepted by the Office of the Defence Attach\u00e9 will have to provide all advertising material (logos, images, etc) related to the activities according to the deadline that will be set.<\/p>\n 6. RIGHT TO REJECT SPONSORSHIPS<\/strong><\/p>\n 6.1\u00a0 The Office of the Defence Attach\u00e9 may reject any sponsorship if:<\/p>\n a) it deems that the sponsorship could create conflict with its institutional and diplomatic activity;<\/p>\n b) the proposal constitutes a violation of the laws or of the principles of the Italian legal system;<\/p>\n c) it deems the message in the advertisement could bias or damage its image or initiatives;<\/p>\n d) it deems the sponsorship unacceptable for reasons of general advisability;<\/p>\n e) the sponsorship includes elements of political syndicalist or religious propaganda;<\/p>\n f) the sponsorship includes offensive messages (including expressions of fanaticism, racism, hate, threat or intolerance);<\/p>\n 7. SPONSORSHIP CONTRACT<\/strong><\/p>\n 7.1\u00a0 The sponsorship contract is signed between the Sponsor and the Office of the Defence Attach\u00e9.<\/p>\n 7.2\u00a0 In no case can any other subject replace the Sponsor in the contract signed between the sponsor and the Office of the Defence Attach\u00e9, unless there is written authorization from the Office of the Defence Attach\u00e9 itself.<\/p>\n 7.3\u00a0 Should the Office of the Defence Attach\u00e9 ascertain that the Sponsor’s offer and related declarations are false, the Sponsor may be sanctioned by relevant authorities and any related benefits will be voided.<\/p>\n 7.4\u00a0 If for any reason not dependent on the Office of the Defence Attach\u00e9, the event does not to take place, the Parties will decide by mutual agreement on means for compensation for any goods or services already provided.<\/p>\n 7.5\u00a0 Pursuant to Art. 6, paragraph 2, of the Decree of 2 November 2017, n. 192 (cooperation with private entities), a specific clause will be inserted in the contract which allows the Office of the Defence Attach\u00e9 to recede from it for foreign policy related motivations, upon a simple request, without conditions or limitations, at no charge with the exception of the interested party’s right to a return of anything already provided and not yet paid for.
