{"id":5419,"date":"2025-10-14T15:40:41","date_gmt":"2025-10-14T13:40:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/amblondra.esteri.it\/?p=5419"},"modified":"2025-10-14T15:44:12","modified_gmt":"2025-10-14T13:44:12","slug":"the-embassy-of-italy-in-london-hosts-the-presentation-of-the-exhibition-peggy-guggenheim-in-london-the-making-of-a-collector","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/amblondra.esteri.it\/en\/news\/dall_ambasciata\/2025\/10\/the-embassy-of-italy-in-london-hosts-the-presentation-of-the-exhibition-peggy-guggenheim-in-london-the-making-of-a-collector\/","title":{"rendered":"The Embassy of Italy in London Hosts the Presentation of the Exhibition \u201cPeggy Guggenheim in London: The Making of a Collector\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>London, 13 October 2025 \u2013 The Embassy of Italy in London hosted the presentation of <em>Peggy Guggenheim in London: The Making of a Collector<\/em>, an exhibition that retraces the early steps of one of the greatest art collectors of the twentieth century, whose beginnings in the art world took place in the British capital itself.<\/p>\n<p>Introducing the retrospective \u2014 which will open to the public at the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice from 25 April to 19 October 2026, before moving to the Royal Academy of Arts in London from 21 November 2026 to 14 March 2027 \u2014 were Gra\u017eina Subelyt\u0117, Associate Curator of the Peggy Guggenheim Collection, and Simon Grant, Guest Curator of the exhibition.<\/p>\n<p>Ambassador Inigo Lambertini expressed the Embassy\u2019s satisfaction in supporting this important cultural collaboration. \u201cThe Embassy of Italy is proud to support and celebrate the partnership between the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice and the Royal Academy of Arts,\u201d he said, noting that this represents \u201canother example of how Italy and the United Kingdom are united in promoting culture and artistic excellence.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition shines a light on the years when Peggy Guggenheim opened her first art gallery in London, Guggenheim Jeune.
