{"id":651,"date":"2021-12-16T12:12:43","date_gmt":"2021-12-16T11:12:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/amblondra.esteri.it\/news\/dall_ambasciata\/2021\/12\/prima-giornata-nazionale-dello-2\/"},"modified":"2021-12-16T12:12:43","modified_gmt":"2021-12-16T11:12:43","slug":"prima-giornata-nazionale-dello-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/amblondra.esteri.it\/en\/news\/dall_ambasciata\/2021\/12\/prima-giornata-nazionale-dello-2\/","title":{"rendered":"First Italian National Space Day"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Today, 16 December, we celebrate the first <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Italian National Space Day<\/strong><\/span> to champion the importance and value of the \u201cspace economy\u201d for the recovery and growth of the Italian economy.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In conjunction with this celebration, the Embassy of Italy in London proudly announces that on 28 February 2022 it will host a special networking event on Italian-UK space collaboration: \u201c<strong>Space2Grow<\/strong>\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Space2Grow<\/strong> is part of <em>Italy4Innovation<\/em>, an original series launched by the Embassy of Italy in London to promote a more structured collaboration between Italian and UK innovation ecosystems.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Space2Grow<\/strong> is organised in close partnership with <a href=\"https:\/\/telespazio.co.uk\/en\/home\" title=\"Telespazio UK website\"><strong><em>Telespazio UK<\/em><\/strong><\/a>, a subsidiary of Telespazio (a 67\/33% joint venture between <em>Leonardo<\/em> and <em>Thales<\/em>), and will feature senior speakers and representatives from the Italian, UK and European Space Agencies, the space industry and academia.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The event will focus on promoting Italian and UK Space collaboration as a catalyst for growth.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The key topics to be discussed include:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u2022 Italy and the UK are key contributors to ESA and international missions<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u2022 How can collaboration between Italy and the UK help to deliver the UK national space strategy?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u2022 The critical role of innovation in space for future growth<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u2022 The role of space in sustainability (climate and responsible use of space)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A formal invitation and an agenda will be circulated in due course.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; website of the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.asi.it\/en\/#divMore\" title=\"Italian Space Agency website (EN version)\">Italian Space Agency<\/a> <\/strong>(ASI)<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Today, 16 December, we celebrate the first Italian National Space Day to champion the importance and value of the \u201cspace economy\u201d for the recovery and growth of the Italian economy.
