Promoted by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and organised in collaboration with the Italian Trade Agency and Confartigianato, the initiative represents an important opportunity to showcase Italian artisanal expertise on the international stage and forms part of Italy\u2019s broader \u201cgrowth diplomacy\u201d activities.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Hosted at the Embassy of Italy in London, the exhibition opened on 18 March and will remain on display until 15 May.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cThe \u2018Benfatto\u2019 exhibition offers a distinctive insight into Italy\u2019s identity &#8211; its <em>saper fare<\/em>: that unique combination of creativity, technical mastery, and cultural depth shaped over centuries and continuously reinterpreted through contemporary vision and innovation,\u201d said Deputy Head of Mission, Minister Plenipotentiary Riccardo Smimmo, at the event. Minister Smimmo also underlined how the exhibition\u2019s coincidence with London Craft Week offers \u201ca valuable opportunity to further showcase Italian creativity and manufacturing excellence to a global audience, while at the same time strengthening the dialogue between Italy and the United Kingdom.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cThe Italian Trade Agency (ITA) plays a key role in supporting Italy\u2019s artisanal sector by helping small producers access global markets through promotional initiatives such as participation in London Craft Week, the leading event for the sector in the UK market,\u201d added Giovanni Sacchi, Director of ITA London.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Curated by architects Tiziana Burrini and Attilio Lapietra, the exhibition project presents a journey designed to highlight each individual piece created by the 18 participating companies, emphasising their identity, quality, and the concept of the \u201cbeautifully made.\u201d The exhibition design explores the dialogue between tradition and modernity, where new design languages integrate with historical heritage without replacing it, but rather enriching it.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On 12 May, some of the companies featured in the exhibition (Arcahorn, Bottega Conticelli, Pinetti, and Rou Materiaal) presented their work to visitors, illustrating the production philosophy behind their creations and the dialogue between artisanal tradition and contemporary experimentation. The companies also took part in a live demonstration workshop, showcasing the craftsmanship techniques and creative processes that define the excellence of Made in Italy.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The project has seen great success in terms of bookings and attendance, confirming the strong public interest and the significance of the initiative within the international context of London Craft Week.
