London, 16 October 2026<\/strong> \u2013 The Embassy of Italy in London and the Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo announce the launch of \u201cCostellazioni\u201d<\/em>, a new collaborative project dedicated to promoting contemporary art, showcasing emerging artists and strengthening cultural dialogue between Italy and the United Kingdom.<\/p>\n

The project was launched on 16 October with an inaugural event at the Residence of the Italian Ambassador in London, where two works from the Sandretto Re Rebaudengo Collection were exhibited: Untitled (little bag-armchair)<\/em> (2000) by Paola Pivi and Racket II<\/em> (2017) by Enrico David. These two works testify to the ability of Italian art to establish itself on the international stage, serving as symbolic reference points for new generations of artists.<\/p>\n

The initiative paves the way for the first edition of \u201cCostellazioni\u201d<\/em>, scheduled to coincide with Frieze London week in 2027. Each year, the project will select an Italian artist represented by a gallery participating in the prestigious London art fair. The selected artist will have the opportunity to present one of their works at the Embassy, as part of an evening dedicated to the public and to international cultural exchange.<\/p>\n

\u201cCostellazioni\u201d<\/em> aims to create new opportunities for emerging artists to gain visibility, support galleries in nurturing and advancing their artists\u2019 careers, and contribute to the internationalisation of Italian contemporary art.<\/p>\n

The project also seeks to foster dialogue between the Italian and British art scenes, highlighting their distinctive characteristics and encouraging new connections among artists, institutions, galleries and collectors.<\/p>\n

The collaboration brings together the Embassy of Italy in London\u2019s cultural diplomacy activities and the Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo\u2019s commitment to promoting contemporary art and supporting emerging generations of artists. The Ambassador\u2019s Residence thus opens up to a new cultural initiative, becoming a meeting place and a platform for presenting Italian contemporary art in an international context.<\/p>\n

Through \u201cCostellazioni\u201d<\/em>, the Embassy and the Foundation aim to contribute to building lasting cultural relationships that connect talent, institutions and professionals across the art world, strengthening Italy\u2019s presence in the spaces where global artistic debate takes shape.<\/p>\n

The project\u2019s name evokes the idea of multiple individual paths which, through interaction, give rise to new configurations and perspectives. This image reflects the vision behind \u201cCostellazioni\u201d<\/em>: bringing artists, cultures and perspectives together to open up new horizons for contemporary art.<\/p>\n
