Ambassador Raffaele Trombetta hosts joint ceremony to bestow honours at the Italian Embassy in London

A joint ceremony was held yesterday at the Embassy of Italy in London during which Dr. Paolo TATICCHI and Francesco PAGOT received the Honour of CAVALIERE OMRI and Professor Sonia MASSAI the Honour of UFFICIALE OMRI. 


Dr. Paolo TATICCHI - CAVALIERE OMRI

Dr Paolo Taticchi is the director of the MBA Weekend and Global Online MBA at Imperial College Business School, where he is also principal teaching fellow in management and sustainability and director of global initiatives, and where he previously directed the MSc in innovation, entrepreneurship and management. Before joining Imperial, he was associate professor and director of the MBA programmes at the Royal Docks Business School of the University of East London, director of studies for the Bradford-Perugia MBA in Italy, and assistant professor in business and management engineering at the University of Perugia. He has also cofounded and directed six international summer schools for prestigious universities based in New York, as well as the Taiwan-Italy international internship programme. He is the author of 50 scientific articles and has edited and co-authored the books Business Performance Measurement and Management: new contexts, themes and challenges and Corporate Sustainability, published internationally. He has taught in 12 countries and is involved in international MBA and EMBA programmes in Europe, Africa, Asia and the Americas.

 

Francesco PAGOT - CAVALIERE OMRI

Francesco Pagot, a cinematographer, has lived in London since 1989 and is the director of photography at the Worldwide Production Agency and a permanent member of BAFTA. He has worked with internationally renowned directors and actors on numerous films, including Stanley Kubrick’s Full Metal Jacket, Tomorrow Never Dies with Pierce Brosnan and Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves with Kevin Costner. He works with the BBC and has filmed numerous commercials for television. He is a permanent member of the Italian Association of Authors of Cinematographers and of the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers, a cinematography association that sets quality standards for cinema and television around the world.

In his spare time he volunteers in Africa for the International Red Cross. He has published seven books in the UK and has raised funds for the Meyer Children’s Hospital in Florence and the Great Ormond Street Children’s hospital in London.

 

Prof.ssa Sonia MASSAI– UFFICIALE OMRI

Sonia Massai obtained her PhD in English language and literature at the University of Liverpool on a scholarship, after which she worked as a researcher at the University of Wolverhampton and then as an associate professor at St Mary’s University. She is currently a professor in Shakespeare studies at King’s College London, where she is also vice-dean of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities. She developed a new master’s programme for King’s College, taught in collaboration with the British Library, which attracts students from all over the world. She has also organised events and digital initiatives for the British Council and has received numerous academic recognitions for her research and publications.
