Rai, the Italian public-service broadcaster, has launched a new multimedia edition of its dictionary, the Dizionario di Ortografia e Pronunzia della lingua Italiana (DOP). The dictionary was presented on 7 March at a conference organised in partnership with the Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei.
The first edition of the dictionary was published in 1969 and it has been available in digital format for the past 15 years. It has shown itself to be a useful tool for teachers and students of Italian as well as casual users.
The DOP is free to use and is available at www.dizionario.rai.it.
