FCA reception at the Embassy of Italy

Yesterday evening the Embassy of Italy in London hosted a networking reception in partnership with Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) to present the new Alfa Romeo Stelvio. The event focused on Italian style and technological solutions in the automobile sector and it included an exhibition of photographs illustrating Italian ingenuity and creativity.

In his opening address, the ambassador, Raffaele Trombetta, noted that Alfa Romeo is one of the brands that best represents Italian quality, innovation, design and know-how. He also pointed out that Italy is recognised not only for its art, culture and numerous strong economic sectors but also for its flair for innovation and development in hi-tech productive sectors.

Simon Wheeler, the fleet and business marketing manager of FCA, gave a brief overview of the history of Alfa Romeo and described the main features of the brand in its current form. Arnauld Leclerc, FCA’s new UK managing director, presented some of the key points of the company policy relating to the UK.

Notes:

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is the largest Italian group in the automobile industry. It was created by a merger between Fiat and Chrysler in October 2014 and is currently the seventh largest automobile group in the world. FCA has an extensive international presence, with factories and sales outlets in over 140 countries.

Alfa Romeo is one of the brands owned by FCA. Founded in Milan in 1910, it produces vehicles that combine form and function. Relaunching this brand is one of the primary objectives of the FCA group, and Alfa Romeo is finally reclaiming its role as one of the most sought-after premium brands in the world.
