Science for Society- The Lunar Renaissance

The third conference of the SCIENCE FOR SOCIETY cycle “The Lunar Renaissance“, that took place at the Italian Cultural Institute in London on Tuesday 10 December at 6:30 p.m., organised on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the first moon landing (1969-2019).

We discussed the hypotheses, motivations and implications of a possible return to the Moon with two special guests: Patrizia Caraveo, internationally renowned radio astronomer, who presented her recently published book “Conquered by the Moon” and Philip Diamond, Director General of SKA (Square Kilometer Array), the international project aimed at building the largest network of radio telescopes in the world (details attached).
