A moment during the Ambassador’s speech on migration at Lincoln College, Oxford.
His Excellency Ambassador Pasquale Terracciano, invited by the Italian Society, visited Oxford University on November 5th 2015, where he attended a conference at the Lincoln College and gave a speech on migration.
Ambassador Terracciano was in Oxford as guest of the Oxford University Italian society, which reunites and acts as a hub for Oxonians with an interest in all things Italian. He gave a speech on the theme of migration: “The Promised Land: Migration, Europe and the Mediterranean Challenge”.
The Ambassador’s talk focused on the need for a European Strategy and a common EU policy to meet the geopolitical challenges of the Mediterranean and the refugees crisis.
During his speech, Ambassador Terracciano also talked about the fight against ISIS, the situation in Nigeria and of the hardships of Christian minorities in Africa and the Middle East.
A Question and Answer session with the audience took place following the talk.
