Theresa May and Antonio Tajani meet at Downing Street
Antonio Tajani, the President of the European Parliament, visited London today to meet the British Prime Minister, Theresa May. He highlighted that the European Parliament considers the protection of the rights of European and British citizens to be the “top priority in the upcoming negotiations between the EU and the UK”.
Mr Tajani also met Ambassador Pasquale Terracciano, who told him of the expectations of the vast Italian community in the UK. Ambassador Terracciano also informed Mr Tajani about the embassy’s Brexit initiatives, such as the online Brexit helpdesk and the “Primo Approdo” (First Landing) meetings.
