Ambassador Raffaele Trombetta was interviewed live today by presenter Angela Antetomaso, at Class CNBC studios in London. With the approaching of the one-year anniversary of the activation of EU Treaty article 50, Raffaele Trombetta touched primarily on matters relating to Brexit and the current phase of the negotiations between the United Kingdom and the European Commission.
The Italian Ambassador also spoke about bilateral relations between Italy and the United Kingdom and the safeguarding of the interests of Italian nationals residing in the UK, two key priorities of his mandate.
