Presentation of Il Circolo scholarships and Italian Medical Society of Great Britain fellowship

This morning at the Embassy of Italy in London, the ambassador, Raffaele Trombetta, hosted a ceremony to present eight schoarships and a fellowship to help nine students achieve their artistic, academic and professional ambitions. The scholarships were sponsored by the cultural association Il Circolo, a British-Italian charitable association established in 1994 to disseminate Italian culture in the UK and facilitate the creation of networks of those who love and have an interest in Italy, and the fellowship was sponsored by the Italian Medical Society of Great Britain (IMSOGB).

During the event, Marina Fazzari, the head of Il Circolo, and Professor Sergio Bonino, the head of IMSOGB, gave a brief overview of the activities run by their organisations, and presented the prizes to the winners.

The ambassador congratulated the winners and highlighted the crucial role played by Italian professional and cultural organisations in disseminating Italian culture and promoting excellence among students and professionals in the UK.
