Ambassador Raffaele Trombetta and the science attaché, Luisa Tondelli, today visited the Royal Free Hospital, one of the two main medical campuses of University College London (UCL) and a renowned teaching hospital. They were received by Professor Giuseppe Kito Fusai, a surgeon specialising in hepato-pancreato-biliary (HPB) surgery and liver transplants and president of the Italian Medical Society of Great Britain (IMSoGB). The ambassador visited some of the most important clinical and surgical departments, ending with an informal meeting of the head of the academic department, Professor Massimo Pinzani, and with some of the many Italian doctors who work at the hospital.
