From 3 June travel for any reason to and from the following countries will be permitted:
• European Union member states (Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden);
• Schengen states (the Schengen states not in the EU are: Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland);
• The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland;
• Andorra and Monaco;
• The Republic of San Marino and the Vatican City.
From 3 June, anybody entering (or returning to) Italy from these countries will no longer be subject to a 14-day period of health monitoring or quarantine, unless they have been in a country not listed above during the 14 days preceding their entry into Italy.
For example, if you enter Italy from France on 14 June, you will still have to observe quarantine if you entered France from the US on 4 June, but not if you entered France from the US before 31 May, nor if between 31 May and 13 June you were in Germany.
From 3 to 14 June, travel to and from countries other than the ones in the list above continues to be subject to the same rules that until 2 June are valid for all international travel.
