His Excellency Inigo Lambertini presented today the Letter of Credence to His Majesty King Charles III at Buckingham Palace, accrediting him officially as Ambassador of Italy to the Court of Saint James.
This occasion evokes historical coincidences, since Ambassador Lambertini is the first Ambassador of Italy, in 70 years, to present the Letter of Credence to the King, rather than to the Queen. Another interesting fact regards the name of the current King, which has a connection to Naples, the Ambassador’s city of origin, where a renowned King Charles governed from 1734 until 1759.
