London, 4 September 2025 – The Embassy of Italy in London hosted The Italian Pour, an event promoting Italian craft beers as part of a collaboration project between ICE London and Beer52, the world’s most renowned online craft beer club, with over 80,000 active subscribers and more than 3 million consumers in the United Kingdom.
The project involves 16 Italian craft breweries, selected in particular for their traditional production methods. Thanks to Beer52’s purchase of around 550,000 cans from the participating breweries, the initiative represents one of the most significant promotional activities for Italian craft beer in the United Kingdom.
The club enables its members to receive a monthly box containing a selection of Italian beers, accompanied by an informative magazine featuring insights on the beer styles and the breweries.
The participating breweries thus become showcases for their respective regions, enhancing both the excellence of Italian food and wine culture and the image of Italy’s diverse territories by telling stories of tradition, innovation, and uniqueness.
“Italy’s craft beer industry is relatively young compared to our ancient wine tradition, but it has quickly become a symbol of innovation rooted in tradition,” said Deputy Ambassador Riccardo Smimmo, adding: “From the alpine waters of the North to the citrus groves of the South, each beer tells a story of place, of people, and of the Italian spirit.”
Eight of the 16 breweries involved in the project took part in the event held at the Embassy, where guests had the opportunity to taste the beers and learn more about the production processes of the different companies.
