The Venice Seminar for the British press

The annual Venice Seminar is the biggest public-diplomacy event of the year for the Italian diplomatic network in the UK. It is organised by the Embassy in collaboration with some of the most important UK-based Italian businesses.

The Seminar is an opportunity for representatives of the Italian government and business world to meet journalists from the major British news outlets and present Italy’s achievements in various fields, primarily foreign policy and the economy. The talks are informal and reserved and follow the Chatham House Rule.

The Seminar also includes a number of side events and visits during which participants discover niche aspects of Venetian history and culture and noteworthy projects focusing on Venice. These events provide opportunities for networking and direct discussion between the keynote speakers, sponsors and journalists.
