Covid-19: Regulation on entry into Italy

In order to contain the spread of covid-19, on 20 December 2020 the Italian Ministry of Health, following consultation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, signed a decree stating that:

· Flights from the UK will not be permitted to land in Itay;

· Persons who have been in the UK (including in transit) in the preceding 14 days will not be permitted to enter Italy;

· Those who are already in Italy and have been in the UK in the 14 days preceding 20 December are required to immediately notify the local health authority and undergo a molecular or antigen swab test.

The decree is effective from 20 December to 6 January, inclusive.
