The collaboration between the Italian Embassy in London and Frieze, the renowned art fair in the British capital, continues.
Once again, Italy takes center stage during London Frieze, an unmissable event for contemporary art enthusiasts: the Italian Embassy unveiled Senza Tempo, a textile artwork by artist Adalberto Lonardi, inspired by one of his palindromic poems. This event was supported for the second year in a row by the Verona-based winery Pasqua Vini, which is committed to promoting young talents. Senza Tempo, digitally printed, is enriched with hand-embroidered chiffon, organza, velvet, and silk, and adorned with gold and silver accents. The red, rosé, and white colors, with touches of green and blue, evoke both the hues of wine and the vineyard landscape.
This large-scale artwork is perfectly situated within the grandeur of the central staircase of the Embassy, in the heart of Mayfair, displayed alongside tapestries dating back to the 1600s. “Italy is globally recognized as an art hub, and Frieze, the UK’s leading art fair and one of the most important worldwide, offers an ideal platform to showcase Italian talent. We are pleased that Pasqua Vini has made available to the visitors of our Embassy a special artwork, to be admired in the coming months, celebrating two of our world-renowned excellences: creativity and wine,” said Ambassador Inigo Lambertini.
