Following the success of the first edition, ‘I ACT’ is back! The deadline to participate in the training program on energy transition and climate change organized by IRENA (International Renewable Energy Agency) in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, is March 21.
The programme follows a “train-the-trainers” model and consists of two phases. In the first phase, IRENA trains selected young participants from various geographical areas on topics such as global climate change trends and the role of renewable energy in the ecological transition. In the second phase, these trained participants share their acquired knowledge with aspiring young leaders in their home countries through dedicated training events, supported logistically by Italian embassies and using IRENA’s educational materials.
This is the second edition of the program. The previous edition, held in 2023, saw approximately 160 young people trained by IRENA share their experience with around 6,000 young men and women in over 40 countries.
With the new edition, the aim is to reach an even greater number of young people and countries, facilitated by the translation of program content into two additional languages, Portuguese and Arabic, alongside the existing versions in English, French, and Spanish.
