Innovation and Education: Italy House in London at the Heart of Cutting-Edge EdTech

The second edition of the event series “The Pulse of Progress: Italian Ideas that Transform” was held at Italy House, the new premisesof the Italian Embassy in London. The meeting, co-organised by the Embassy together with the Italian Trade Agency in London and EdTech Italia, focused on the revolution in technologies applied to education, confirming Italy’s central role in a rapidly expanding sector.

The event took place within the context of BETT 2026, the world’s leading education technology trade fair, where the Italian Trade Agency curated a pavilion dedicated to 18 of the most promising Italian EdTech startups.

The panel, entitled “Developing and Financing Breakthrough Ideas in Education Technology”, moderated by Donatella Soldà, President of EdTech Italia, brought together representatives from industry associations and Italian and UK venture capital funds. Enrico Poli (Zanichelli Venture), Matteo Bagnato (EdTech Italia), Sami Tatar (Emerge VC) and Austin Earl (TechUK) discussed the challenges of fundraising and strategies to turn disruptive ideas into sustainable solutions on a global scale, highlighting the strong dynamism of the Italian EdTech ecosystem.

Francesca Bacco, Head of Custom Programs at H-FARM Business School, concluded by presenting the success story of H-FARM, an exemplary Italian startup that has become an international benchmark in education innovation.
